Anna Parker
My daughter Anna's embroidery speaks for the sweet spirit and gentle soul that she is. All her embroidery is of her own design, and can be seen in her shop– Threads and Flowers.
Leroy Parker
He's a mystic, a painter, a musician . . . Last week when I explained the assignment, I said I would set up a still-life for the portrait of my husband. But why bother, when I can capture the real thing. These were all shot within 5 minutes, last Saturday morning. My only job was to zero in on the angle- I didn't move a thing. If you were turned loose in his studio . . .
Carolyn Parker (self-portrait)
I crammed all I could get into my conception of me. The objects symbolize my life's growth process– a search for what I might have to offer during my stay here. So much detail doesn't really work for such a small image– here's a larger version.
About the Photography Workshop
For those of you who are stopping by for the first time, this post is #2 in a 4-part photo workshop Camilla Emond and I are hosting. The task was to make two or more environmental portraits of people, through the objects of their lives, and one self-portrait.
Participants will be posting comments here today. Follow their blog links to see their interpretations. In tomorrow's post, I will include the links to each participant's post. I'm also going to explain my self-portrait.
