Historic Rose Garden's 20-Year Anniversary at Sacramento Old City Cemetery
As a rule, good rose pictures are not easy to come by. Sometimes, no matter how hard I try, I fail to get the shot. Dare I say some roses are not photogenic? Then there are charmed moments when a rose is almost unbearably photogenic. That was the case with Rusty's Angels Camp Orange at the Sacramento Old City Cemetery. I just couldn't stop clicking!
Enjoy Rusty's gorgeous rose, and then at the end of the post, I'd like to tell you about a very special event coming up.
Somehow I failed to get an image of the shrub (?!). But I can't resist showing you an equally charming associate, not a climber like Rusty's rose, the rose below is called Angels Camp Tea.
Part of the lovely cemetery appears in this shot and you can see more in the trailer below. Please take a look, it's such a lovely garden. The movie honors the garden's 20th anniversary as the repository of heritage roses and will be shown during a special 3-day Historic Rose Conference, October 12-14, 2012. Tune in to Rose Chat and hear Stephen Scanniello talk about Heritage Roses. Anita Clevenger, pictured above, calls in to talk about the up coming Sacramento Cemetery conference.
